By Arthur Conrad: Just recently Cambodia had become the victim of a stampede as several lives were lost during a time of revelry in the country. Huge masses of people had been united on this Monday evening to celebrate a festival of water that comes by at the time each year.

But no one would have thought the future of the vacationers to unfold in the way that it did. The stampede in Cambodia had accounted for over three hundred and fifty lives being claimed in addition to the multitude of people that have escaped with their lives but would still have the account of the incident written in their physical conditions.

The reason why such a stampede was triggered was always one that was being questioned and the investigating team has finally found an answer to give to the question. On Wednesday, they claimed that a suspension bridge may have swayed a little and that must have set the panicking up causing a stampede of such stature.

The explanation given does make sense as the hordes of visitors running over one another are more than likely to kill those present. Most of the people who had been present at the venue owe their deaths to suffocation more than anything else. Bayon TV had reported the death count to be close to around seven hundred and fifty and most of these people were rurally located.

The fact that the festival is the only time of the year that they travel to the city may be all the more reason for the panic button to have been pressed so unnecessarily. However, on Wednesday the government officially declared 378 to be dead in addition to the 755 people who still remain injured. At least, the death count is not as high as was reported by Bayon TV in Cambodia.
