The power lines to be constructed over a stretch of the southern parts of Colorado had been a center of controversy and many opposed to its continuation. However, Friday saw the PUC or Public Utility of Colorado give it a go through permission.

The power lines that were supposed to be running through the southern region of the Colorado area had been stagnated in their developments for quite some time now.

While all else had been running smoothly the only problem that they had been having was if the PUC would approve of this particular project or not.

There were many people who had opposed to the building of these lines and that being so this particular project had in a matter of a small amount of time become a source of great attention seeking but it had also attracted a whole lot of controversy as well.

Friday though was a good day for the people who had undertaken the initiative, or so it turned out to be after the PUC allowed for these power lines to be constructed or at least they committed to having given the preliminary permissions that were required for the same.

Even with the project being surrounded being surrounded by controversies to the extent that it is, there is no denying to the utility of it and the kind of productivity that it should bring.

However, the people who had opposed to continuing with it continued doing the same and they also vouched to carry on with their fight no matter what.

The transmission line is planned to be built over a course of a hundred and fifty miles and the estimated cost of the project is in excess of a hundred and eighty billion dollars.

Once the lines are built they should be expected to be carrying wind energy as well as solar energy from the Valley of San Luis to the Front Range via the Pass of La Veta.

The objective being as lucrative as it sounds though, it is clear what reasons the PUC or the Public Utility of Colorado would have had in mind before showing the green signals to the undertakers of the project.
