The Duchess of York is expected to appear on The Oprah Winfrey Show, nearly one week after she was filmed by an undercover reporter allegedly trying to sell access to her ex-husband, the Duke of York.
The Duchess has already apologized for her misbehavior. Meanwhile, the duke, who is a UK trade envoy, has denied any knowledge of his ex-wife's activities. The duchess is currently in US promoting her range of children's books.
On Sunday, the News of the World reported that the Duchess had agreed a £500,000 ($723,000) deal with a reporter in order to make him meet Prince Andrew.
The Duchess was on her way to the US when the story was published. In a statement issued on Sunday, the Duchess had apologized for her actions and admitted that she did that because her financial situation was "under stress".
"I very deeply regret the situation and the embarrassment caused. It is true that my financial situation is under stress. However, that is no excuse for a serious lapse of judgment and I am very sorry that this has happened," she had said.
