Florence And The Machine singer Florence Welch are set to wow the audiences by performing at this year's Academy Awards. The Machine frontwoman will appear alongside legendary Indian musician A.R. Rahman to sing 'If I Rise' from Danny Boyle’s 127 Hours soundtrack, reported Billboard. The track has been nominated for Best Song. The film is also in the race for Best Score, Best Picture and Best Score.
Actress Gwyneth Paltrow will perform 'Coming Home' from her latest film Country Strong. Paltrow is a full-time actress and part-time singer and she is yet to even cut an album. Paltrow will also perform a duet with Cee-Lo Green t at the 53rd annual Grammy Awards on February 13. Paltrow made her acting debut on stage in 1990. She started appearing in films in 1991 and was well recognized for her work in films such as Se7en (1995), Emma (1996) and Sliding Doors (1998).
She got international fame through her performance in Shakespeare in Love (1998), for which she also won an Academy Award for Best Actress, a Golden Globe Award and two Screen Actors Guild Awards. Paltrow has played supporting as well as lead roles in films such as The Talented Mr. Ripley (1999), Shallow Hal (2001) and Proof (2005). In 2008, she appeared in the superhero film Iron Man, which is her most successful film.
Mandy Moore and Randy Newman are also in the list of performers on the glittering ceremony. The Oscar is scheduled to take place in Los Angeles on February 27.
