The seemingly unfortunate Green Bay Packers defensive end Johnny Jolly was arrested by the police during the midnight hours of Friday on charges of carrying drugs and traffic violation in Houston. The player has already been under such a controversy before some time.
The Houston police spokesperson Victor Sentias said that Jolly was hunted around 12:45 a.m. when the police officers discovered him with a container that allegedly contained six hundred grams of codeine. The container was found under the passenger's seat of the vehicle. There was an another bottle as well that was caught with a mysterious substance inside it lying in the side door of the driver’s seat.
As per Sentias, Jolly was taken into custody almost immediately on charges of possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute.
Jolly, as its known has already faced suspension by the NFL and that too without any pay during the whole of the season last time as he had gone against the league's substance abuse policy. The ban had then originated from another independent drug arrest.
There has been no comment made available by the Packers or from Jolly's agent, in relation to the incident that took place last night.
It was codeine only which explicitly ruined the player’s once in the past and landed him into trouble then also. However, there seems to be no tesson-learning out of that earlier mess. Its even unclear as of now that how would this latest charge have an effect on Jolly's probation.
