Troubled Hollywood star Lindsay Lohan returned to Los Angeles from France yesterday, two days after failing to appear before a Los Angeles court in relation to a probation hearing that caused a judge to issue an arrest warrant for her.
Wearing dark hat and sunglasses, the 23-year-old actress, went outside the airport quietly without talking to the reporters, who had been camping outside the air terminal all day.
Lohan was in France to attend the Cannes film festival.
The "Mean Girls" actress was set to appear before the court for failing to complete alcohol education classes imposed for a 2007 drunken driving case, but she did not appear saying that her passport was lost in Cannes.
Lohan’s absence angered Judge Marsha Revel, who issued an arrest warrant for the actress. The warrant was revoked after Lohan’s attorney posted bail of $100,000. Revel ordered that Lohan must now undergo random drug and alcohol testing. She also ordered to fit an alcohol monitoring bracelet on Lohan and asked her not to consume alcohol until she turns up in court.
Lohan’s probation was extended last year by Revel and she had warned her at that time that she risked being sent to jail. The actress was asked to attend alcohol education classes as a part of her jail term for a 2007 arrest for drunken driving.
