Lindsay Lohan will not be arrested on return to US, attorney posts bail

Lindsay Lohan has been spared of the ignomity of getting arrested on arrival in U.S. Her attorney posted a bail against her arrest when she was partying in Cannes instead of getting ready for her court appearance.

By virtue of her bail her arrest warrant has been revoked. However, the bail has come with a condition that she would be appearing in the court Monday morning as reported by E! News.

Lohan went to Cannes to promote her role as the iconic porn queen Linda Lovelace. She was supposed to appear in the court due to her erratic attendance at the alcohol education classes as a part of her probation. She failed to turn up for the court date yesterday. Her lawyer Shawn Chapman Holley, appealed to the judge that Lohan's passport had been stolen.

Lohan in the meanwhile has claimed that her dad Michael Lohan got someone to steal her passport as per reports from Usmagazine.com. Her father appeared at Thursday’s hearing with Lisa Bloom where he denied having any role in her daughter's passport getting stole. He also said that his daughter needs treatment and not a jail term.

Meanwhile Lindsay Lohan has partied till 7.30 a.m. while her arrest warrant was being issued. Lindsay had arrived at the VIP room at 4 a.m. and had told partygoers that she would be flying back to US on Friday. She then partied at a yatch till 7.30 a.m.

She was given a bail bond of $10,000 while she partied at Cannes. She was scheduled for a Monday morning hearing at 8.30 a.m. The hearing was to determine if she had violated probation terms with reference to her 2007 DUI conviction. If found guilty she would facing jail term of up to 180 days.

Lindsay’s attorney posted a $10,000 bail bond for her arrest warrant was rescinded.
